I'm a sucker for pretty office supplies. International Arrival has them. The journals are playful or sophisticated. The folders are too pretty to put in drawers. They even have a lot of quirky products like smelly erasers and fun shape paper clips. I'm ready to re-vamp my office, how about you?

ARK Designs by Anna Roberts-knight is based out of the UK.  Previously Anna worked in the greetings industry for 11 years, now as a freelance designer, she is able to tap into many more markets.  It is going to be fun to watch all the avenues her design aesthetics will touch!   Not only does she create great designs and products, but she was super cool to have some interaction with.   Make sure to visit her blog to see ALL the things Anna is working on!

Print Day: Surtex Show

The Surtex show just wrapped up in NYC. I am sure that all who attended came away inspired by so much beautiful surface design and prints. You can get a sense for the talent at the show from the video.

I'm a huge fan of Orla Kiely. If I lived in London, you can bet I would be trying to get my hands on a signed copy of her pattern book! Then I would spend an entire afternoon soaking in the "pretty-ness" of her retail shop.

The new line of fabrics called Prince Charming on their way from Tula Pink are so much fun. I love the snails in both the honey and the indigo lines--can't see them? You're gonna have to look closer! The designer is a master of masking images within images. Start with a simple one--the frog print has a all four legs and fly in it's belly, so cute, so clever!

One of my other favorites is from the Parisville Collection, that top left print that has the masked girl with the ship worked into her hairdo. I just had to feature this print too.

Not only is Tula a talented designer, but she is also an interesting and funny writer. Stop by her blog to get a good sense of the person behind the "fabric curtain".
