We spent some time at my husbands family farm this weekend. It's beautiful and I love the open-air feeling out there. We have been considering building a house here. It is a tough decision and with all things there are lists of pros and cons. Closer to both our families, further from his work, but closer to mine. Inexpensive land and no housing codes to meet, but far from neighbors and other children for our kid (and future kids) to play with. The list goes on and on. What things did you take into consideration when buying and/or building your house? Is there anything that you wish you would have considered or are glad that you did?
